Don de sang : Les étudiants de la Faculté de Médecine s’impliquent - Le soleil - Sénégal - 26/12/2006

La commission Santé du Centre africain de complémentarité scolaire universitaire et de promotion (Cacsup) a organisé l’autre mercredi une cérémonie de don de sang à la Faculté de Médecine. Sur un objectif de 100 étudiants, 95 ont répondu présents. Les étudiants de la Faculté de Médecine, Pharmacie et Odontostomatologie se sont encore faits remarquer par leur acte de civisme en répondant massivement à la demande de don de sang du Cacsup.
Expliquant l’initiative, Ibrahima Eloi Sarr, coordonnateur du Cacsup, a souligné que cette activité menée en collaboration avec le Centre de transfusion sanguine fait partie du programme de sa structure. L’objectif, a poursuivi Eloi Sarr, est de « sensibiliser les étudiants sur la nécessité de donner du sang afin de sauver des vies », soulignant que sur un objectif de « 100 étudiants, 95 ont répondu à l’appel du Cacsup malgré la grève ».

Ibrahima Eloi Sarr a indiqué que sa structure ne compte pas s’arrêter en si bon chemin. La commission va s’engager dans une campagne médicale et vétérinaire qui aura lieu du 26 au 28 décembre à Touba, Mbacké et Khelcom. Cela en partenariat avec l’Association pour le développement de Touba, a expliqué M. Sarr. Il a noté que la campagne a déjà reçu le soutien du ministère de la Santé qui a offert un important lot de médicaments et assuré le transport de l’équipe médicale qui sera composée de 150 médecins, vétérinaires, dentistes et pharmaciens. Il est prévu, au cours de ces journées, des consultations gratuites, dons de médicaments et des communications sur le paludisme, le choléra et le VIH-Sida.

The objective, continued Eloi Sarr, is “to sensitize the students on the need for giving blood in order to save lives”, stressing that on an objective of “100 students, 95 answered the call of Cacsup in spite of the strike”.

Ibrahima Eloi Sarr indicated that its structure does not hope to stop in so good way. The commission will engage in a medical campaign and veterinary surgeon who will take place of the 26 at December 28 with Touba, Mbacké and Khelcom. That in partnership with Association for the development of Touba, explained Mr. Sarr. It noted that the countryside already received the support of the ministry for the Health which offered an important batch of drugs and ensured the transport of the medical team which will be made up of 150 doctors, veterinary surgeons, dentists and pharmacists. It is envisaged, during these days, of the free consultations, gifts of drugs and the communications on paludism, the cholera and the VIH-AIDS.
